Accountancy is in Matthew’s blood. The former Canterbury Cathedral chorister and St Edmund’s School pupil has lived and breathed the profession since as early as he can remember.
As the firm’s most recent partner, Matthew is able to combine his experience in auditing listed companies with a broad expertise accrued from a variety of professions to deliver support to small and medium-sized businesses. With a degree in mathematics from the University of Bath, he is well-versed in making the numbers add up, a skill which is often utilised to help clients produce documents for obtaining bank finance.
Canterbury born and bred, Matthew now lives in Bridge with his wife Cathryn, and three sons (accountants in waiting). He is a keen sportsman, regularly turning out for the Burgess Hodgson football team and happy to accept madcap challenges, whether cycling 120 miles or completing a fell race with 1,000 metres of climbing.
