BH SCOOPS FINALIST SPOT FOR SECOND TIME (23/11/09)
Burgess Hodgson once again proved that it's one of the leading firms of its size in the country by being shortlisted in a prestigious industry awards.
The Canterbury-based practice was a finalist in the Accountancy Age Awards' Medium Firm of the Year category - the second time in three years.
The awards, held at the Battersea Evolution, London, was a glittering affair, with more than 1,000 of the accountancy industry's movers and shakers gathered to celebrate the very best businesses in the sector.
Burgess Hodgson was one of only five firms listed for the Medium Firm of the Year award, and, although the practice missed out on this occasion, the fact that it's the second shortlisting in three years reflects the quality, innovation and consistency of service delivered.
The black tie evening was hosted by comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner and featured a champagne reception, three-course dinner and entertainment.
Commenting on the evening, senior partner Steve Sutton, said: "We were delighted to again be recognised by the Accountancy Age Awards' judges and make the shortlist against some tough competition.
"The firm continues to go from strength to strength, and we hope to go one step further next year and take the top honours."
