TWO NEW PARTNERS AT BURGESS HODGSON (05/04/12)
Burgess Hodgson has announced that it has promoted Robert Field and Martin West from associate to partner with effect from April 1, 2012.

The appointments take the Canterbury-based firm to 14 partners and three associates.
Both Robert and Martin have strong roots in Canterbury and have demonstrated their commitment to the practice. Their complementary skills are expected to strengthen the firm and help it continue to grow.
Commenting on his appointment, Robert said. “I am delighted to become a partner of Burgess Hodgson where I have worked since leaving school after my A levels.
“Having lived my entire life in Canterbury, I have a strong desire to assist local businesses in their strategic planning and growth. Having already qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser, I intend to continue working hard on developing the strong reputation Burgess Hodgson already has.”
Martin was equally delighted to be made a partner. “Since joining the firm in 2003 after completing an accounting degree at Southampton University, I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses at different stages of their business cycle - and to help make a difference.
“As a firm, we take a real interest in the businesses we are dealing with and this is an ethic I want to continue.”
Commenting on both appointments, senior partner Steve Sutton said: "We welcome both Robert and Martin into the partnership. We believe they will be valuable assets to Burgess Hodgson.
“Both have demonstrated a strong commitment towards the firm, a passion for business, a keenness to learn and have roots in the area - all qualities we value and believe will help our clients thrive."
