BURGESS HODGSON ADDS XERO TO ITS SERVICES (16/04/12)
Burgess Hodgson has recently expanded its range of services by becoming a partner and certified advisor with online accounting software provider, Xero.
In addition to offering support and SaaS solutions (click here) for established providers like Sage and QuickBooks, the practice can now offer clients a fresh and intuitive way of keeping their accounting records and interacting with their advisors through Xero.
Designed specifically with small businesses in mind, Xero is 'cloud' (Internet) based, which means clients can access their accounts data anywhere with an Internet connection - even from mobile devices like smartphones and tablets where apps are being constantly developed.
Another of Xero's selling points is its simple bank reconciliation function which can be set up to link directly to a client's online banking so that bank transactions automatically appear in Xero every day: saving time on inputting data and cutting down on errors.
Xero features all the functionality you'd expect from an accounting package including invoice creation and VAT reporting and allows an unlimited number of users different levels of access for review and inputting data. It also offers integration with a number or online add-ons in areas such as stock control, CRM and e-commerce, designed to save time and simplify the task of bookkeeping.
Easy-to-use and intuitive, Xero is well-suited to businesses from one to 100 employees who require simple, understandable accounting features and up-to-the-minute information.
