Ken Jones FCA CTA
Ken specialises in tax, but is also heavily involved in mergers and acquisitions, both from a taxation and corporate finance point of view. His taxation experience covers the entire range of clients, from personal clients through to complex company tax planning, VAT and investigations, including those for the Special Compliance Office, and large matrimonial cases. On the corporate finance side he has been involved with numerous sales and purchases of companies, fund-raising, flotation, stock exchange reporting and a £75m public to private take-over.
Ken was born and raised in Canterbury, and joined Burgess Hodgson in 1978. Having completed his training he qualified in 1982, and was made a Partner in 1984.
Ken lives in Canterbury and when not occupied with work and family, he enjoys running, cycling and climbing, sometimes combining all three in the form of long distance mountain races. Ken has climbed extensively in the UK and overseas, including a two-hour ascent of the Matterhorn.
