If you trade goods with the EU or Northern Ireland and have been affected by the border changes since the UK left the EU, £2,000 grants are now available to assist your business. These are intended to help SMEs get up to speed with the new procedures by getting the training or professional advice needed to continue operations.
Further details can be found on the government’s webpage here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/grants-to-help-small-and-medium-sized-businesses-new-to-importing-or-exporting
Applications can be made here: https://www.customsintermediarygrant.co.uk/sme-brexit-support-fund
The scheme will remain open until 30 June 2021 or until the fund runs out.
Burgess Hodgson would be happy to discuss any questions you have about your business operations and continuing trade with the EU so please feel free to get in touch with our tax experts at email@example.com and we would be happy to help.
