Recruitment, training and staff development

Training is one of the cornerstones of Burgess Hodgson: as a firm, you are only as good as the people you employ. We take training very seriously, and operate a proactive training programme, not only for our accountancy trainees but for all our tax, support, and Chartered Secretaries and administration staff as well. We believe in developing our staff and promoting from within.

The universities, college, and numerous schools and academies in Canterbury provide our City with a wealth of talented individuals. We always welcome applications from local people, as well as those from further afield, for any of our current vacancies.

We have an excellent training programme which supports all of our accounting trainees through to becoming qualified. By providing training alongside current work, we feel that staff gain a real all round understanding of the work environment. We’re very proud to say that BPP recommend our training model to other accountants.
