BH celebrates qualified success

Posted: December 23, 2014

Staff at Burgess Hodgson are once again celebrating a 100% pass rate, following the publication of their recent exams, with five becoming fully qualified accountants to add to the two from earlier this year.

The five new qualified ICAEW accountants are: Alex Baker, Steven Reeves Guy Vine, Matt Lightfoot, Dale King. They join Andrew Collyer and Chris Green who qualified in July.

In addition, Simon Bailey and Tom Saltmer are now authorised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales to conduct probate work.

Probate administration has been deregulated recently and can now be undertaken by Chartered Accountants as well as solicitors.

Rob Field, partner at Burgess Hodgson responsible for recruitment and training, said the achievements of the staff emphasise how important training is for the firm.

He said: “We consistently take on more new trainee Chartered Accountants than any other firm in the area. Although it’s a big commitment, both in time and money, it means we can constantly deliver the high level of service our clients expect.

“It’s an indication of how fast our firm is growing and we’re proud to be able to nurture this talented pool of individuals.
