Burgess Hodgson has recently obtained Silver Partner status with the growing cloud-based accounting software provider Xero.
The firm have now been offering Xero as an alternative to traditional accounting software products for just over two years, and have witnessed an increased take up in the past couple of months as business practice generally moves to cloud based and hosted solutions.
Recently, Burgess Hodgson has also been putting further staff through the certification training provided by Xero and can now boast an impressive seven certified advisers across the firm and a number of staff members due to complete their certification training over the next few months.
Jim Leeves, Associate at Burgess Hodgson, has been particularly impressed with the continued level of investment shown by Xero, who have been leading the way in this field: “Xero’s user friendly and intuitive software is really starting to move forward now. With the inclusion of integrated payroll service later this year, as well as ongoing upgrades, they are proving a viable and serious alternative to the traditional software providers.
“We have also seen a significant number of clients take on Xero as an alternative from maintaining simple, but sometimes unreliable cash book spreadsheets. This not only makes record keeping more efficient on a day to day basis for clients but also helps us spend more time providing advice when we prepare year end accounts and less time on error correction and compliance.”
As part of our new status we are pleased to be able to offer the software for free for the first 30 days for all Burgess Hodgson clients (new or existing) who would like to set up a new subscription*.
If you would like to hear more about Xero, contact Jim on 01227 454627 or send him an email.
* The offer applies to any subscriptions set up in August.
