More than 70 people from the local business community attended a seminar recently to discuss issues, pitfalls and opportunities in the property sector, with expert advice from Burgess Hodgson, Furley Page, Strutt & Parker and Lee Evans Partnership (LEP).
The breakfast and networking event took place at the Cathedral Lodge, with guests able to discuss the issues in a lively atmosphere and also pick up valuable pointers and advice on their property issues.
Burgess Hodgson’s Greg Mayne delivered a thought-provoking talk on the VAT implications of dealing in land and property; Strutt & Parker’s Tim Mitford-Slade talk covered how to achieve your ideal world (if one exists!), while Furley Page’s Jeremy Licence provided some top legal tips relating to Promotion Agreements for developers and David Stewart, from LEP, discussed issues related to Kent’s housing land supply.
The topics engendered lively debate and the speakers were able to answer questions from the attendees, making for an excellent atmosphere and innovative seminar forum. There’ll be another seminar on property later this year: watch this space!
