Rod Archibald BSc ACA CTA
Rod works on a wide variety of clients, from personal tax cases to auditing multi-million pound businesses.
Although having a particular interest in personal tax and the taxation of owner managed businesses, Rod also has experience in dealing with the taxation of trusts.
Rod went to school in Canterbury, at the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys, and St Edmund’s School Canterbury. After graduating from Loughborough University in 2007, Rod had a brief stint as an assistant manager in hospitality before joining Burgess Hodgson in April 2008.
Rod qualified in November 2011 before deciding to undertake the Chartered Tax Qualification, which he started in October 2012 and qualified with in December 2013.
Enjoying managing an extensive portfolio of clients has given Rod greater responsibility in the firm, and as such he became an Associate in December 2014.
Rod grew up in Canterbury and now lives in the City Centre. He is a cycling enthusiast and represents local cycling team Adalta RT in races across the country.
He is also an accomplished hockey player – having previously represented Canterbury Hockey Club in the National Premier League. One of his proudest moments and biggest sporting achievements was helping the team reach the play offs for Europe.
Away from his professional life and sporting activities Rod enjoys spending time with friends and meeting new people, and is one of the key contributors of the Canterbury Young Professionals group.
