Rod Archibald BSc BFP ACA CTA
Rod’s expertise lies in the running and taxation of owner managed business, from start-ups to established companies. He has worked on numerous multi-million pound business sales, assisting with corporate finance, providing expert advice on the content of Share Purchase Agreements alongside implementing bespoke tax efficient structures.
Rod joined Burgess Hodgson in 2008 after graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in Business, Economics and Finance. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011 and a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2013. His commitment to his work was swiftly recognised, and he became a Partner in 2018. Rod also sits on the Main Committee of the ICAEW Chartered Accountants South East.
Away from the office, Rod enjoys networking and forging relationships with like-minded professionals; he is a founding member of the Canterbury Lunch Club, a local networking group. One of Rod’s proudest achievements is representing the Canterbury Hockey Club 1st XI, which included a third-place finish in the Premier Division. His sporting focus has now turned to road cycling where he competes in mountainous races across Europe. Off the bike he can often be found to be supporting Canterbury’s hockey and rugby teams.
Having grown up locally, Rod lives in Canterbury with his fiancée.
